Action steps:

• Online learning: Faculty will develop an online course of study as a prototype for use with senior students as independent study. This course will be designed to help students learn to think rather than to simply locate information.
• Passion-based learning: Students will participate in the introduction of new units/topics by formulating questions and creating a context for learning. Students will have the opportunity to lead the lesson.
• Passion-based learning: Students will have the opportunity to participate in an internship, possibly in partnership with faculty. Another variation on the internship program is to have students develop a plan based on his/her passion. The student will be responsible for sharing the experience with the school (archival). Through a passion-based internship experience, students will be giving back to the community (school and wider).
